Most crimes are not included in the list of ‘Headline Crime’; however the most serious are, for example murder, manslaughter, and false imprisonment. Non-Headline crimes are often referred to as less-serious crime. Examples of Non-Headline crimes include public order offences, begging and certain traffic offences. The difficulty is that for certain offences there is a certain level of subjectivity, as in whether they should be considered Headline (serious) or Non-Headline (less serious) crime?
