Voluntary Service International

Voluntary Service International (VSI) is the Irish branch of Service Civil International, a worldwide movement working for peace, international understanding and sustainable development through voluntary service projects, international exchanges and education and awareness programmes.VSI works for peace, international understanding and social justice through practical voluntary service, education and awareness programmes, international exchanges, co-operation and support with like minded groups and involving people from different backgrounds and cultures.

Localise-Peace Corps

Localise is a youth and community development organisation with over 38 years of experience in community service work and volunteerism. Our Localise programme challenges people to make a real difference in their locality through Community Service Learning. Localise offers five key services:

Glencree Youth Group

Glencree is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that is devoted to peacebuilding and reconciliation in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Great Britain, and beyond.From the context of the protracted conflict experienced in and between these islands, Glencree works towards understanding complex relationships, as well as cultivating new ones, between all people from all parts of society. The programme work builds peace and fosters reconciliation by facilitating dialogues, creating peace education resources, organising school programmes, and much more.·

Irish Red Cross Youth

The aim and purpose of Red Cross Youth is to encourage young people to live according to the Red Cross principles - 'Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Character, Unity, Universality' and to contribute to the relief of suffering and the construction of peace in the world.

Order of Malta Ireland

The Cadets are the Junior Section of the Ambulance Corps aged between 10 and 16 and are organised into 80 units in the Republic and Northern Ireland.Cadets are trained in basic like saving skills - First Aid, CPR, Home Nursing. Cadets are actively involved in the community helping the elderly and disabled. The Order of Malta provides opportunities for Cadets to have fun - Outdoor Activities, discos, sports, crafts and hobbies and competitions.Our Principle aim is to provide young people with challenge and personal development opportunities.
